Flex Web email configuration - Overview

Quick Configuration Overview

  • Username: your email address
  • Incoming Mail Server (POP): mail.yourdomainname (example: mail.lightmedia.com.au)
  • Incoming Mail Server Port: 110 (default). Does not require SSL Connection (untick this option)
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomainname (example: mail.lightmedia.com.au)
  • Outgoing Mail Server Port: 25. Does not require SSL Connection (untick this option)
  • Outgoing Mail Server requires Authentication: YES. Use same settings as incoming mail server.

On MacMail, you need to configure the SMTP (send email) properly. Follow the steps below:

  • Preferences
  • Outgoing Mail Server (STMP): 'Use only this server' should be ticked
  • Outgoing Mail Server (STMP): select the dropdown and select 'Edit SMTP server list'
  • On Account Information tab: Make sure you Server name is correct: mail.yourdomain
  • On Advanced tab:
    - the option 'Use default ports (25, 465, 587) should be ticked
    - the option 'Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) should be ticked.
    - Authentication is password
    - User Name: enter your email address
    - Password: enter your email password
